The beer Panigiri takes its name from the Greek word “πανηγύρι", which refers to a traditional festive celebration held throughout Greece, mainly in rural areas. These festivals are organized for religious, commercial, or cultural reasons and bring people together to celebrate and share joyful moments.
During these gatherings, people dance traditional dances, enjoy live folk music, and taste local foods. Each region of Greece hosts its own festivals, influenced by its local history and traditions. This means that every area presents its own unique traditional costumes, songs, and dances.
Inspired by this vibrant tradition, along with the traditional costumes and woven textiles of Thrace, the Thracian beer Panigiri was created.
